• Question: what advice would you give to any young person, coming out of A-levels, about how they should go about doing the thing that they love?

Hey Froodlemoo!! (cool name!, reminds me of chocolate ice-cream) 🙂

I remember when I got my results for my A-Levels (I didn’t do as well as I had hoped but that didn’t stop me from accomplishing my dreams, I just had to work extra hard). I would say before your results come out, explore the options available for you at the end of your A-levels by visiting university websites to give you a better idea of what can you study with the A-levels you have obtained or find out what your alternative options are (the world is your oyster and these A-level results will be the stepping stones to better things in life). The most important thing about going to university is 1. studying the correct degree for your career goals, and 2. achieving a fantastic grade for your undergraduate degree; a 1st class or a 2:1. Therefore, research everything before you start your university degree.

When you find the one thing you enjoy doing or want to do, nothing will stop you from achieving it. You could even travel abroad to study a degree! So, researching your options and planning your backup options is vital! Also, find out if there are established societies for what you enjoy doing because they are likely to have even more career advice on their websites!

      Hope this helps.

      Best Wishes,

      Vedia
